Did the tattoo artist have any idea wtf it was? Did you make any attempt to educate?

(I want to get some kind of schematic tattooed on me, like on the back of old television sets, although ideally it would describe some internal biological/chemical/mechanical process. ATP or DNA are great ideas, but I wonder if you could do a pictogram of a reaction or process vs. just a static element)

i was able to explain the basics
but not until after they spent the week between me dropping off the design and the actual session debating on whether or not it was the structure of some kind of drug.

no, this is not lsd.

and, you could totally do some kind of biochemical pathway involving a favorite molecule. i'd love to see someone with that someday.

very nice.
and such clean lines, too. that's the main reason mine is so big. i originally wanted it only about 4 inches long and just above where you have yours on my forearm... but when i was told that my tiny 2's and O`'s would become illegible within years i decided to just do it at 7 inches.
go big or go home, right?

serious: "go big or go home" -AreYouInOrOut
i think you picked the best spot for your diagram, because then you get all the impossibly straight lines over your waist's curve.
and i kind of want to design a tattoo that looks a little off, but becomes more clear as the skin ages and stretches out! you're a scientist -- have any pointers?

I've got major tattoo envy now. SO MUCH in fact that I logged into livejournal for the first time in years just to tell you so. I even had to do the whole "recover your forgotten password" link-click-email-reply stuff.

I'd ask you to add me as a friend... but that would just be a silly request, as it'll probably be another 3 years before I log in again.

It's utterly fabulous. Would you be offended or flattered if I cropped an icon out of you? Nice ring, btw. Someone has consistently good taste.

wow. that is amazing. a friend of mine linked me to the branded by science page (too lazy to link, sorry), and your's was one of the better tats on that page.

I have only my water molecule so far (as far as "science tats" go), waiting to figure out my calculus one's design. *sigh*

/random person commenting. ;)
